The Alarm Hub story is a story of dedicated commitment – commitment to a vision shared by two experienced fire safety practitioners. Their names? Simon McGeorge and Billy Lucken. In 2017 they decided to turn their vision into reality and set up The Alarm Hub.

Simon and Billy had identified a need for the highest possible standard of fire safety provision. Together, they bring to the sector a combined total of over 30 years’ experience in the fire protection industry. They have detailed knowledge of numerous fire systems and have undertaken together countless fire risk assessment projects – from conception through to completion.

Simon says, “Over the years, Billy and I realised that nearly every company we came across was being failed by their current provider. Either that or they were suffering from legislation compliance issues.”

It was this realisation that inspired their remarkable vision –

“To set a higher standard within the fire protection industry, setting the benchmark for other companies to follow whilst growing our networking and promoting good fire safety practices, ultimately saving lives.”

 

Working from your Fire Risk Assessment

How do we know which type and level of fire alarm system to install? We determine this from your fire risk assessment. Our design department then considers your fire alarm options, before designing the system that best suits your needs.

​Our fully qualified, DBS checked team has a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years’ combined experience in design, installation and commissioning fire systems. We’ve worked with large scale networked systems through to conventional systems. Our technicians carry ECS Health and Safety cards and work on any sized projects, from new builds to system modifications and upgrades.

Ensuring safety and compliance

The whole team at The Alarm Hub is committed to ‘doing things properly’ – to ensuring that all clients are compliant with current legislation. The comprehensive service they provide is friendly, affordable and rigorously efficient. Working in this life-critical, fire protection sector, cutting corners is not an option.

Autonomous, resourceful and highly experienced, both Simon and Billy work with all fire protection systems, but specialise in Autronica, Morley, Kentec and Advanced. They work across all business sectors. They lead projects both large and small on a wide range of contracts, encompassing:

UK banks  Hospitals  pharmaceutical companies  and numerous commercial sectors

Meet the Directors

Simon McGeorge

Simon has dedicated his career to fire safety and has over 19 years’ experience within the fire protection industry. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers.

Simon offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise with design, fire safety consultancy and fire risk assessments including high risk specialist projects.

Billy Lucken

Billy has over 15 years’ experience in the fire and security industry. He brings an invaluable wealth of knowledge and experience. Billy’s expertise in installation and commissioning has led him to work on some of the largest fire detection systems in Europe.

He is responsible for the technical aspect of The Alarm Hub, has a strong electrical background and is a certified fire risk assessor.

 

Shelley McGeorge

Working within the fire industry for 12 years as an account manager, Shelley’s role is to ensure that customers are taken care of, right from their very first enquiry.

Shelley is passionate about offering every client world-class customer service. With her strong background in account management, Shelley will make sure that, from day one, you’re in safe hands.

 

Lorna Lucken

Lorna has recently left the NHS after 15 years service. With this she brings a wealth of experience working in a demanding and high pressure environment.

Lorna already possesses key skills in team leading and communication whilst continually improving her commercial awareness. Her role includes looking after accounts and administration for the Alarm Hub. She’s also our social media content manager.
